WILLARD, Mo. -- Webb City lost a tough match to Willard Wednesday 4-0 in the district semifinal match.
The game started off as a defensive battle, with Addie Brown making 3 big saves in the first half to keep the game scoreless at halftime.
Lady Cardinals' only scoring chance came from Sammy Gallardo's assist to Avery Allen. Willard's goalie got her hands on the ball at just the right moment to prevent the score.
After that, Willard went on to score 4 unanswered goals within 15 minutes. The game ended with 14 minutes left due to a weather delay.
The Lady Cardinals Soccer season came to an end with a 9-9 overall record. The team says goodbye to 5 seniors.
