Cardinals fall 58-45 in low scoring game.

Averaging over 70 points in the last three games, points were hard to come by on Tuesday as the Eagles dropped the Cardinals 58-45 at home.  Trailing 18-10 after the first quarter, the Cardinals closed the gap back to 2 with a 9-3 run over the opening minutes of the second quarter, but that was a close as the game would get.  Nixa held a 32-22 lead at the break and kept Webb City at arms distance for the remainder of the grind it out game.

Holton Keith totaled 18 points on the evening.  Slade Hurd scored eight first quarter points and finished with a total of 14, hitting 4 of 7 from long range.

The Cardinals compete at the Kaminsky Classic this weekend beginning with a 3:30 opening round game with Poplar Bluff on Thursday.
