The Cardinals lost their second straight game as they fell at Central 70-51.
After a back and forth first quarter, the game tilted toward the Bulldogs as the quarter came to a close. With the game even at 17 and the Cardinals holding for the last shot and a lead, an errant pass turned into a easy bucket for the Bulldogs as the quarter ended. That four point swing coupled with the first six points of the second quarter for Central, the Cardinals were quickly down eight points. A three from Joseph DeGraffenreid and a free throw from Holton Keith halved that down to four in the next two possessions, but that was the closest the Cardinals could get the rest of the contest. Central pushed the lead to double digits at halftime, 41-30, then maintained that throughout the second half.
Eli Pace led the offense with 20 points, Holton Keith followed up with 16.
The Cardinals return to the Dome on Friday night for homecoming.
