Less than 24 hours after a homecoming win, the Cardinals fell to the Eagles of Fair Grove 78-48 in Springfield. Playing in a mostly empty Mission University field house, the Cardinals never found the spark to keep up with the Eagles.
Keeping in touch in an 18-15 game, the Eagles finished the first half on a 14-4 run to take a 32-19 lead at the break. After extending the lead to 17 in the first three minutes of the third quarter, the Cardinals looked to the bench for a spark. Unfortunately, the Eagles finished the final five minutes of the quarter with another burst.
Jackson Adams led the scoring with 14 points off the bench with Dalton Riggs also reaching double figures with 10.
Webb City will be on the road next week with games at Kickapoo and Republic.
