The Cardinal soccer team dropped their seaon opener at home 2-1 to College Heights.
The Cardinals played a tough game. They had a few opportunities early to score but came up short. After going down 2-0 at half the Cards fought back and scored in about the 50th minutes off a corner kick from Aaron Tappana to Mark Hobdy who punched it in from the scrum. That was the final 2-1 College Heights.
The team will travel to Carthage on Thursday to take on the Tigers who are playing good soccer even early in the season. 5pm kickoff for JV and 6:30pm kickoff for varsity at the fields by the YMCA in Carthage.
