Manuel Cornelio and Connor Mahaffey each netted two goals to lead the Cardinals to a season opening shut-out win on Tuesday afternoon over College Heights 8-0.

Cornelio found the back of the net in the 17th minute to open the scoring.  Mason Phillips followed at the 20th minute and Mahaffey scored just minutes later as the Cardinals led at the half 3-0.

Webb City used two quick strikes to start the second half and then three more in a span of seven minutes to hand the Cougars the loss.  Collin Keats earned the shutout in goal

The Cardinals open their conference schedule on the road at Carthage on Thursday.
