The Lady Cardinals captured third place at the Mustang Classic with a 46-41 win over host McDonald County.

Webb City held a slim 20-18 half time lead in a low scoring first half.  The Mustangs surged out to a six point lead as the third quarter was coming to a close but a three from Kirra Long cut the lead to three as the quarter ended.  It was the beginning of a 9-0 run that found the Cardinals leading by three in the early part of the fourth quarter.  The Mustangs took a brief one point lead with only two minutes remaining, but Abby Sargent scored the final eight points for Webb City, including six free throws to complete the victory.

Addie Burns, Whitlee Keith and Abby Sargent all tallied 10 points.  Burns, named to the all-tournament team, also grabbed 9 rebounds.  

They will back at the Dome next Tuesday to face Rogers Heritage.  Game time will be at 6:00
