Built in 1931, the gymnasium at Central is a step back in time. With the floor five feet below the sitting fans, it is known affectionately as "the Pit". With all that old feel around, the Lady Cardinals wasted little time in inflicting some current reality on the host Bulldogs. Taking on a winless Central squad, the Cardinals scored the first ten points of the game and after a bucket from the Bulldogs went on to score the next 11, leading 21-4 after the first quarter.
The second quarter was much the same as Webb City extended the advantage to 46-9.
Fourteen different Cardinals saw playing time with ten of them scoring points. Addie Burns led the scoring with 17, followed closely by Abby Sargent with 16 and eight rebounds. Kenzie Horn and Brecklynn Sargent had seven and Kaitlin Sinclair added six off the bench.
Webb City is on the road to Waynesville on Tuesday before returning home on Thursday to face Glendale.
