The Lady Cardinal volleyball team took part in the Hillcrest tournament on Saturday, finishing 4-1-1 and bringing home a 2nd place finish.

In pool play, they swept through their first three matches taking down Waynesville (25-9, 25-22), Branson (25-13, 25-21) and Willard (25-23-25-15).  Splitting their final pool match with Logan Rogersville (24-26, 25-22), the finished 3-0-1 in the early session.   

Moving into bracket play, they were pushed to three sets in a semi final match with Camdeton, taking the first set 25-17, dropping the second 25-21, before rallying to a 25-17 win and advancing to the finals.  

It took three sets in the championship against Lebanon.  Winning the first set 26-24, the Yellow Jackets bounced back to grab the next two 25-21, 25-22.

The Cardinals (7-3-1) will be Springfield Central on Tuesday and back home at the Dome on Thursday with Glendale.
