COLUMBIA, Mo. -- A Lady Cardinal broke her own school record and claimed 5th place at the Class 5 Cross Country State Meet. Brooke Hedger broke her the school record for the third time this season. She finished with an 18:20.20 mark, just a little quicker than her previous 18:24.30 record.

RESULTS:

5th: Brooke Hedger - 18:20.20

83rd: Emma McKinzie - 19:58.30

91st: Araceli Perez - 20:08.70

92nd: Olivia Klotz - 20:08.80

108th: Aspen Ritchie - 20:18.70

112th: Brooke Collard - 20:20.90

135th: Amelia Antillon - 20:48.10

The Lady Cardinals team finished 10th overall out of 16 teams. They had a 1:58 1-5 split and 19:46 average.

Coach Miller says he's proud of the team for developing leadership and selflessness throughout the season. All varsity runners return next season.
