Athletic Trainers are healthcare professionals responsible for the prevention, management and care of injuries at all levels of physical activity. They serve as the liaison between the athlete and physician and between the athlete and coach. Athletic Trainers are certified by the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification and licensed by the State of Missouri. The Webb City Sports Medicine Program consists of two Athletic Trainers and Dr. James Boyle, a Sports Medicine fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon.
