Stacy helped lead the Lady Cardinals to a 24-4 season as a senior. Averaging 14 points her senior season, she also led the team in assists and free throws. She earned 1st team All-Conference, All-District, All-Area and All-State recognition, as well as being named as honorable mention All-American.

Stacy accepted a full-ride scholarship to the University of Nebraska. As a freshman the team made it to the second round of the NCAA tournament. At the end of the year Stacy received the most inspirational award from the team.

Transferring back to Pitt State for her final three seasons, she helped lead the Gorillas to a conference title as a senior. Along the way, she was named team captain and received Academic All-America awards. 

A true point guard, Stacy recorded 132 assists in 1996, the tenth most in team history and the fifth best at a 5.1 assists per game for a season.  A total of 355 assists for her career, sits at number 6 all time, and her 4.3 assists per game is still 4thbest. Stacy had a career best 11 assists against Washburn and finished with one career double-double, scoring 14 points and dishing out 10 assists against Abilene Christian.  

At the free throw line, she converted 115 out of 141, an 82% rate, that ranks her fifth all-time from the charity stripe. 

Stacy finished her Pitt State career with 498 points and 107 steals.  A 5’ 4” guard she averaged 2.2 rebounds per game and is even credited with 4 blocked shots

After graduating with a degree in Psychology, she served as the assistant women’s basketball coach at Carl Junction for three seasons.

While working in Dallas, Stacy was a member of the first Dallas Diamonds football team. A full contact, women’s professional football team where she played QB, WR and special teams. In her only season, she helped the team to a 5-5 finish.

Stacy has enjoyed traveling, living in places ranging from Nashville, TN to a camper in an RV park in Kansas. Along the way, she has owned her own t-shirt company, a bar, and a photography business. Currently she resides in a small town in MO, not far from Webb City, helping run a remodel business.

And she still enjoys a game of hoops now and then.
