Luke Beverlin tosses one hitter in complete game win

Luke Beverlin set down the first 11 Bulldog hitters before allowing a two out single in the fourth inning.  He then put away the next 10 in the complete game win.  Lowering his ERA to .76, he recorded 11 strike outs in moving his record to a perfect 6-0 mark.

Stranding six runners in the first three innings, the Cardinals finally broke through with two runs in the fourth courtesy of a single off the bat of Andrew Young.  Cohen Epler reached with a one out single followed by a walk to Sam Weller.  After a double steal moved both runners up 90 feet, they scampered home on the Young hit to right field.

Webb City tacked on three more in the seventh for the final margin.  Vonder Haar, reaching on a lead off double, was driven home with a single from Shadrach Salazar.  Cohen Epler drove home the final two runs.

Five different Cardinals recorded two hits each in the 11 hit attack.

The Cardinals next game will be on Wednesday afternoon.  The game originally scheduled for Thursday was moved up a day due to forecasted rain.
