Barron Duda joins 12 other Cardinals in career milestone

WEBB CITY, Mo. – Barron Duda's 29 point night tonight against East Newton pushed him into an elite career milestone, which only a handful of Cardinals Boys Basketball players have achieved.


Tonight, Duda scored his 1,000th career point. He came into the game having scored 977 points, and he needed 23 to seal it. The 1,000th point came during the third quarter when Eli Pace corralled a loose ball under the basket on an inbound play and found Duda just under the basket where he laid it in for the clinching two points.

Duda is now the 13th player in Cardinals Boys Basketball history to achieve this milestone.


He began his basketball scoring career as a sophomore, where he scored 57 points. 

 

His career took off his junior year. He started all 28 games and led his team in scoring with 13.8 PPG and scored 386 points.


So far this season, Duda's averaging 22.5 PPG, totaling 563 points.
