WEBB CITY 4, WILLARD 2

Webb City improved to 2-0 in the Central Ozark Conference with a key road win in extra innings. 

The game was deadlocked after seven innings before the Cardinals plated two runs in the top of the eighth inning.

In the eighth, Addison Brown walked, Kylee Sargent singled and Dawsyn Decker hit an RBI double to left.

After an out, Lily Hall's sacrifice fly made it 4-2. 

The Tigers had the tying run at the plate in the bottom half, but the hosts were unable to score. 

Hall went 3-for-3 with two RBI, while Decker drove in two runs on two hits. Sargent had three hits and scored two runs. 

Karsyn Cahoon was the winning pitcher. She gave up two runs on 11 hits and struck out two.

Hannah Burks took the loss for the Tigers (5-4). She allowed three earned runs on eight hits and struck out four. 

Winners of four straight, Webb City (4-5) hosts Rolla on Monday.
