Lady Cardinals celebrate Senior Night with 1-0 victory against Joplin

By Zach Dobbs

WEBB CITY, Mo. -- Lady Cardinals Soccer finished their final home game with a 1-0 win against joplin.

A defensive first half, both teams were still able to make shots on the goal, but finished the first half without a score for either side.

Then the game opened up. 9 minutes into the second half, Riley Whitehead scored the Cardinals' only score of the game off of a free kick.

That may be all they needed, but the Eagles didn't back down. Joplin's Ava Foust used her agility to set up shots, but Addison Brown was there to make the saves each time.

Lady Cardinals move to 7-8 on the regular season and hit the road tomorrow to face Willard (12-6).
